Among the many tributes to the anniversary of pink Floyd's famous album, pro-ject also wanted to contribute with a record player taking the shape of the disc cover, for a special limited edition for collectors. It continues to be one of the most widely sold vinyl discs since it first came out in 1973, and pro-ject knows this very well. The creation of the new pro-ject record player the dark side of the moon stars in a limited edition, a real collector record, is therefore well justified. There is practically nothing conventional about this model: the black laccato MDF base has a triangular shape with a height of 28mm. The new 8,6 mm straight arm with a transparent acrylic low resonance with black aluminium parts rests ona backlit led rainbow base with variable brightness which reproduces the design of the cover of the disc. The machine head is a specially designed pick up pro which has already been assembled and calibrated in the factory, while the anti-skating type is a spring type. The glass plate with a thickness of one centimetre is also remarkable, as is the aluminium plate with a central steel pin and a bronze pad. As in pro-ject, the drive is electronically controlled with speed (33/45 RPM).
Its triangular shape, is retro-illuminated by an led light beam, recreating the effect of the light reflected from the cover of the iconic album cover. The triangular base is 28mm black laccate MDF. The 8.6 foot straight arm is made of transparent acrylic with black aluminum parts and rests on a light-lit led rainbow base, adjustable in intensity. Head pick it pro se ina special edition.
